Livre THE BOOK: an exhibition catalog as well as the new book of the House of the iconic yellow label On the occasion of its 250th anniversary in 2022, the Champagne House Veuve Clicquot founded in 1772 is organizing a traveling exhibition "Solaire Culture". A non-museal, immersive exhibition, "100% women" in the selection of creative talents and artists bringing it to life. This exhibition aims to establish a compelling dialog between past and present, interpreted through the eyes of contemporary female artists from around the world: Sheila Hicks, Monique Frydman, Tacita Dean... The exhibition will showcase the creative works specially commissioned for the occasion as well as the Maison's archives.
The female author - Monica Sabolo - contributes in the book to narrate the main chapters of the House and takes readers on board the fascinating history of the House, its heritage, and that of Madame Clicquot (Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin), a tireless optimist and an audacious trailblazer who revolutionized the world of champagne with three major innovations (including her method for storing bottles nose-down) after taking over the family business after the sudden death of her husband.
