EXCERPT Once upon a time, there lived in the forest a poor logger´s family with seven sons. The family had no food to eat so the mother and father decided to abandon the seven sons in the forest to fend for themselves. The youngest son, Little Thumb, who got his name because he was just the size of a thumb at birth, heard his mother and father talking.
He decided to fill his pockets with pebbles and dropped them all along the path on their way to the forest. So the seven boys were able to find their way home.
