Can technology save us from the climate change? Is France exemplary? What can Barack Obama commit to? Why are things changing in China? Who are the opponents of the fight against climate change?
While France hosts the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21), in December 2015, this book provides the keys to understanding the issues and gives information on ways to get involved throughout the year. The authors, who follow the negotiations and participate from within, decipher some of the geopolitical, economic and financial challenges that surround a summit meeting that will be decisive for our future.
For the time being, the "battle of Paris" is neither won nor lost. It is being fought right now, in the circle of the official negotiations and in the economic and financial worlds, as it is in the indispensible mobilisation of the citizens.

Pascal Canfin, former Minister of Development, from 2012 to 2014, has contributed to the preparation of COP21. He is the principal advisor on climate for the World Resources Institute (WRI), a think tank rated the world's most influential on environmental questions, for three years running.
Peter Staime has participated in the international negotiations on climate change for over 10 years, for several expert networks, in support of the African countries and the small island states.
